Figure Painting Workshop
Course Content
Depictions of the human figure have been a tradition in western art that is thousands of years old, and continues to be a vital form of expression in the art of the twenty first century.
This course will familiarize students with figure construction and anatomy as a foundation for achieving competence in painting the figure.
Students will learn various skills for rendering the human form using a variety of drawing media. Painting the figure will explore a range of styles and techniques utilizing a number of color palettes from traditional to contemporary.
Schedule & Cost
This course will be a continuing class that will begin on Friday, Oct. 5th at 10:00 AM, and will meet weekly until May 24th. Students will be able to enroll in this course in 4 and 8 week increments:
4 weeks $140 ($35 per class)
8 weeks $240 ($30 per class)
Model fees not included in above prices, a $45 deposit on model fees required with above tuition, covers first 3 weeks
Drop-ins $45. plus $15 model fee.
